Terms & Conditions​

The full terms and conditions for Baked by Rosie are outlined below. By paying your deposit, you
acknowledge that you have read, understood and accepted these terms and conditions
Allergies
I can accommodate gluten free and milk free cakes however please note all cakes are made in my
home kitchen. Therefore traces of soy, egg, gluten, diary, nuts and other allergens may be
present. Please inform your guests attending your event of the allergens in
the cake. All cakes come with an allergen label attached. If I am delivering your cake I will
provide one to your venue. If a severe allergy is known, it is your responsibility to inform that
guest not to eat the cake due to possibility of trace allergens. A full ingredients list can also be
provided upon request.
Payment
Once a quote has been provided, a £20 non-refundable deposit is required to secure the cake for
that date and you will receive a further invoice to pay the remaining balance 48 hours before the
date of the cake. Please pay deposits within 48 hours. If a deposit is not received in this time,
your date may be given to another customer.
The final price of your cake could be subject to change if there are significant increases in the
price of decoration, flowers or ingredients. If you wish to make any changes to your cake design,
please inform me at least 3 weeks prior to the collection date.

For weddings, a £50 non-refundable deposit is required to secure the cake for
that date and you will receive a further invoice to pay the remaining balance 7 days before your
wedding day. Please pay deposits within 48 hours. If a deposit is not received in this time, your
date may be given to another couple
For weddings I will look to finalise design ideas with you around 3 months prior to your wedding
date. The final price of your cake could be subject to change if there are significant increases in
the price of decoration, flowers or ingredients. If you wish to make any changes to your wedding
cake design, please inform me at least 3 months prior to the wedding date.
Flowers
If you wish to include fresh flowers on your cake I will discuss with you safe non-toxic flower
options. I would discourage self decorating the cake with flowers unless this is done by a person
with training and knowledge in how to wrap and prepare flower stems correctly.

​For wedding cakes it will likely be most convenient to ask your florist to provide the
flowers alongside your other floral displays. I will ask to liaise with your florist beforehand to
ensure only safe, non-toxic flowers are going to be used. I will not place toxic flowers onto a cake
at the venue. I would discourage self decorating the cake with flowers unless this is done by a
person with training and knowledge in how to wrap and prepare flower stems correctly
Design
Your cake design will be agreed between us in advance and your design will be based upon my
interpretation of the information you provide. I reserve the right to make minor changes to best
suit a design if i feel it appropriate. I will do my best to match any design ideas or colour
requests but a perfect match is not always possible
Transportation
Please familiarise yourself with my cake care guide provided with your invoice and ensure the steps
are followed for safe transportation and storage.

​I offer delivery and set up for all wedding cakes. You are welcome to collect One and Two tier cakes . All Three tiered wedding cakes will be delivered and set up by Rosie at Baked By Rosie.The cost of delivery will vary depending how far away the venue is from my home address. Your quote will include mileage costs, as well as an hourly rate.
Cancellation
Once a deposit is paid, this is non-refundable. Please inform me as soon as possible if you no
longer require the order. A full refund will be provided if I can no longer fulfil your order due to
illness or any other unforeseen circumstance.
For weddings, if you wish to cancel within 4 weeks of your wedding date, 50% of your balance
will still be payable. If you wish to cancel within 7 days of your wedding date, the full payment is
still required and I would be unable to offer any refund
Complaints
Any concerns must be reported within 24 hours of collecting your cake. Refunds or replacements
are assessed on a case-by-case basis. Photographs will be requested in the first instance, and it
is likely the cake will need to be returned so that a full assessment can take place.
